Integrative Counselling & Psychotherapy in Oxfordshire and Online
REFLECT ∙UNDERSTAND ∙ MOVE FORWARD
Let's make sense of what's happening... and discover what comes next.
Counselling & Psychotherapy tailored to you.
A different kind of experience - therapy built around you.
No two people arrive with the same experiences, challenges or goals.
I offer integrative counselling and psychotherapy tailored around you, supporting adults experiencing anxiety, stress, overthinking, confidence issues, relationship difficulties, workplace pressures and life transitions in Oxfordshire and online throughout the UK..
Some people come to therapy because they need space to talk openly and feel heard. Others want to better understand recurring patterns in their relationships, emotions or experiences, whilst some are looking for practical ways to navigate challenges, build resilience and create meaningful change in their lives.
I work in an integrative and pluralistic way, which simply means I don't believe everybody benefits from exactly the same type of therapy. Rather than expecting you to fit a particular therapeutic model, I tailor our work around you, drawing upon different approaches depending on your experiences, preferences, needs and goals.
At the heart of my work is a simple philosophy: Reflect. Understand. Move Forward.
My approach is collaborative, supportive and tailored to you, creating a space where we can work together in a way that feels most helpful for your individual needs.
Together, we'll create space to reflect on your experiences, better understand yourself and identify meaningful ways forward with greater clarity, confidence and self-awareness.
MEET ANDREW (ANDY)
Experience. Insight. A Grounded Approach.
Hello, I'm Andrew Selway, a qualified Integrative Counsellor, Psychotherapist and Solution-Focused Hypnotherapist based in Upper Heyford, near Bicester, Oxfordshire (OX25). I'm registered with the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society (NCPS) and offer both in-person and online sessions.
Before training as a therapist, I spent more than twenty years working in senior HR, talent acquisition, leadership and business roles. I also ran my own businesses, including an HR consultancy and a successful senior HR recruitment agency in London.
That experience gave me a genuine understanding of the pressures many people experience in their careers, relationships and personal lives, and how capable, successful people can sometimes find themselves quietly struggling beneath the surface.
Like many people, my own experiences have shaped the way I understand challenge, growth and change. Growing up as a gay man in the 90s and later being diagnosed with ADHD in my mid-40s gave me a personal insight into how easy it can be to overlook parts of ourselves until later in life.
Today, I combine that real-world experience with professional therapeutic training to offer a warm, thoughtful and collaborative approach to counselling and psychotherapy.
Together, we'll create space to explore your experiences, understand recurring patterns and identify meaningful ways forward.
I offer a space where you can be honest without judgement, explore what matters most, and develop greater clarity, understanding and confidence moving forward.

FOR PEOPLE CARRYING MORE THAN OTHERS REALISE.
Thoughtful counselling and psychotherapy that combines insight, understanding and practical ways forward.
Many of the people I work with are thoughtful, capable individuals who have spent years managing things on their own.
From the outside, they often appear successful, resilient and in control. Yet privately they may be carrying anxiety, self-doubt, relationship difficulties, emotional exhaustion, pressure, loss, or a growing sense that something doesn't feel quite right.
Sometimes they know exactly what is troubling them. Sometimes they don't.
What they do know is that the same thoughts, feelings, relationship patterns or ways of coping seem to keep showing up, despite their best efforts to move forward.
REFLECT
A supportive, non-judgemental space to talk openly and explore your experiences, emotions, relationships and challenges.
UNDERSTAND
Develop deeper insight into what’s happening, recurring patterns, beliefs, behaviours, thoughts and ways of relating.
MOVE FORWARD
Identify practical ways of creating meaningful change and moving forwards with confidence and clarity towards with the life you want.
“The curious paradox is that when I accept myself just as I am, then I can change.”
— Carl Rogers

ntegrative counselling and psychotherapy combines different therapeutic approaches rather than relying on a single model. I work in an integrative and pluralistic way, which means therapy is tailored around you, your experiences, preferences and goals, rather than expecting you to fit a one-size-fits-all approach. Together, we'll create space to reflect on your experiences, understand recurring patterns and identify meaningful ways forward.

Alongside this, I work in an integrative and pluralistic way, which means I may draw upon different therapeutic approaches depending on your needs and preferences. Rather than following a rigid structure, therapy is collaborative, flexible and tailored to you.

There is no set number of sessions, as everybody arrives with different experiences, goals and preferences. Some people seek shorter-term support around a specific challenge, whilst others choose longer-term therapy to explore deeper patterns and personal growth. This is something we can discuss together and review as our work progresses.
